1. WARM UP

We begin each session as a group following FIFA 11 warm ups led and demonstrated by our coaches.

These are simple movements to get your body ready and your brain switched on, including skipping, dynamic stretching and a little bit of running.

2. CHOOSE YOUR LEVEL

Pick what level feels right for you that day.

Every week (except the first week of the season) we will have 1-3 group levels to choose from at the start of the session.

There will always be a group ready for those have never played before or want to brush up on the absolute basics.

There are new drills and skills to learn every week! So keep coming back!

The first week of the season (27 Nov) everyone will begin at the same introductory level.

3. INTRODUCTIONS & STRETCH

We will split off into smaller groups and introduce ourselves.

Everyone shares their name, and optionally pronouns and a highlight of their week in a small group.

It’s a low-pressure way to ease in, and a great way to get to know each other.

This is part of how we build connection and community. It’s a no-pressure space. You can say as much or as little as you want. Even just saying your name is more than enough.

4. SKILLS & DRILLS

In your group, coaches lead you through skills tailored to your level.

Everything is broken down step-by-step with no pressure to ‘get it right’. We change up the skills each session, so there’s always something new to try.

5. SMALL-SIDED GAMES

We finish with some fun game play in a chill, supportive and inclusive environment.

If you don't know the rules, that's no worries. All you need to do is kick the ball towards your goal, and the coaches will guide you during the game.

If you're not ready to join in, just let the coach of your group know, and just cheer on your fellow footballers!

6. SHARING & REFLECTION

We wrap up as small groups again. Everyone shares something they learned, enjoyed, or are proud of. It’s short, sweet, and meaningful.

We wrap up together in a circle. Everyone is invited to share one thing they learned, enjoyed, or feel proud of. You can say as little or as much as you want, and it's totally fine if you repeat something already said! Even saying you had fun or you enjoyed being outside with other wāhine is more than enough!

We find this a great way to positively close out and connect as a group.
